I know a few people for whom a day job is never enough. They work part time odd jobs in the evenings, do consulting work, try to sell things…are somehow always angling for extra income. In theory I think it’s a good idea to look at how one can expand one’s earning potential. It’s sort of like the balance between diet and exercise. Diet (cutting back on one’s spending) is probably easiest to save money with. Exercise (earning more) is more difficult to make the same gains but still generally healthy and worth pursuing. But is there a point where side streams in addition to a full time job get sort of ridiculous?
